Graham Tier is Head of Property Facilities Management at the Hong Kong Jockey Club and the Global Chair of IFMA’s Board of Directors where he works to elevate the FM profession worldwide. Mike Petrusky asks Graham to share his vision for our FM community and plans for the New Year at IFMA as workplace leaders prepare to face the fast-moving and ever-changing world of the built environment. Graham is passionate about training and development and he discusses IFMA’s new industry framework for advancing your FM career. Mike and Graham also talk about trends in the workplace today, including technological advances and the radical transformations taking place in corporate offices with activity-based work, the shared economy and collaborative spaces. This episode offers inspiration for FM professionals as they take on the important responsibility of both protecting buildings and enabling businesses to attract and retain talent by providing leading edge employee experiences. Finally, in what might be the most epic episode of “podcast karaoke” yet, Graham encourages Mike to attempt singing songs by both Jessie J and Midnight Oil!
